The peace and tranquility of the sub tropical rainforest walks are a haven for the many brilliantly coloured native birds that inhabit the area. The famous ‘Witches Falls’ section of the Tamborine National Park was declared in 1908, making it Queensland’s first national park. Most of the beautiful bush walks are under 3 kms taking about 1 hour and are well established and easy to follow.
Art & Crafts
We are lucky to have many artists and artisans that call Tamborine Mountain and the Gold Coast hinterland their home. They are renowned for the diversity and quality of their works, so take time to browse the galleries and shops while you are here – many are a short walk from your accommodation at Glenloch.
Uncover treasures in the many antique and curio stores dotted throughout the mountain lanes. From 200 year old antiques to affordable country and pre-loved everything, there’s something for every taste and budget. To top it off, on the last Sunday of each month the Tamborine Mountain School Markets are on, offering an eclectic selection of old wares and produce.
